Red State?  Blue State?  Grey State! 

It is widely reported that Baby Boomers are rapidly moving from active kings and queens of the universe toward 50, 60 and beyond and pondering a whole new set of life challenges.  It’s a trend known as “the graying of America.”   It has policy implications for our federal government as well as our YPO chapter.  Yes, our corner of the world at YPO Rocky Mountain is not exempt:  we all are a year older than we were a year ago.  As more of us age past 50 and toward the new mandatory graduation age of 55, graduation ultimately awaits us all – but who will graduate this year?

Here’s what we do know:  on May 21st we will gather to honor those in our Chapter who have elected to move on to WPO be it through force (age or lack of remaining grace) or by choice (ready and over 45).  We know – at least we think – we will have at least three graduates…but as we saw in the last Education Year, maybe we’ll have more; maybe we’ll have less, maybe we’ll have none.

We also know that regardless of how many graduates there are(n’t), we will have a great time and we will bring a close to our year of politics and getting a peek at what the 2009-2010 education year holds in store for us all.
