Well, to have great idea exchange, we need the members present. There is no idea exchange without participation. WE WANT YOU! Actually, we need you too! You would likely be surprised at the disproportionate amount of Board meeting time given over to discussion of attendance and more specifically attendance problems. We all know the feeling of seeing the member roster or going to graduation and seeing a face and saying “Who is that gal?” or “Why did I never meet that guy?” Connecting amongst ourselves, making deeper connections and learning from the relatively diverse viewpoints of our Chapter members is invaluable. While we like your money, there are many prospects we turn away each year who could write the check. Please don’t take up a spot of a potentially active and engaged member who wants to take what YPO has to offer…participate! We are modifying our structure slightly this year to give credit to all events (previously dine arounds didn’t count, for example) and to weigh multi-day commitments higher (as they help create deeper connections). Each member will need to accumulate 12 points – New members, to immerse into the Chapter, are expected to accumulate 18 points.
